As we did in the previous term, we went to see the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra perform last Saturday (11th May 2019).
This time we heard a collection of Tchaikovsky pieces, a “Sleeping Beauty” suite and an original Norwegian piece call “The Tale of Taliesin”. The last one was especially interesting because it was the UK Premiere, and we were introduced to the composer. It was fun night and a lot of other attendees complimented us because we were some of the only students there. So we hope we can go again and represent the younger generation that are interested in classical music.
