Year 7 pupils were able to begin their senior school studies in history, with an enjoyable and productive visit to Whitby Abbey. The visit combined a close examination of the role of primary evidence, in the study of history, along with an introduction to the history of the Middle Ages, which they will be studying in greater depth, this year. Pupils were also able to take advantage of the glorious autumn weather, to sketch the ruined Abbey.
