When deciding on a Y6 leavers’ treat, we all agreed that a trip to Wykeham Lakes would be the perfect outing for us. It was a beautiful day to be out on the lake, and we started with paddle-boarding. Our instructor, Charlie, built up our confidence by getting us to jump on our boards, quickly moving on to forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and back flips! It helped us to step out of our comfort zones and then we built our teamwork skills by working in pairs to re-enact a scene from the Titanic!

After a chaotic paddle back to the side, with Bea, Charlie, Esmae and Mrs Richardson getting stuck in the vegetation, we hopped straight over to the aquapark for buckets of fun on the inflatables. Highlights included everyone going down the slides and off the jumps and pushing Mr Cable off of the four-man seesaw!

We finished off our trip with hot chocolates and ice creams from the cafe and time chilling in the play area.

We all had a brilliant day! Thank you to Mr Cable for driving us.
