Last Wednesday, four of our Year 10 students – Ailsa Legg, Charlotte Brown, Cameron Davis and Joe Husband, spent the morning at the Hull University Campus in Scarborough to take part in a Team Maths Challenge. The challenge was organised by the Further Maths Support Programme and involved our team competing against seven others from around the Scarborough area. There were lots of different challenges; Countdown, Maths Comprehension, Pentomino Challenge, Paired relay challenge and a team ‘True or False’ challenge. It was a fun morning and went incredibly quick – we especially liked the muffins at break time! Our team came away with a certificate for the best team work and also for their score in the Pentomino round. The best part of course was being back in time to go straight to their Maths lesson!
