The Year 7s have been making volcanoes as part of their tectonic hazards topic in Geography. They had a lot of fun making paper models which they then painted to look like like erupting volcanoes. It was hoped that they would also get to see them erupt with the help of Dr Richardson and his chemical potions but, unfortunately, timing was against us and we were unable to find a suitable day on which to do this. Several lucky pupils got to take their volcanoes home to show their family the culmination of their efforts. A big thank you to the art and science departments for their collaboration with the geography department.
