Time to get out your Halloween costume . . . next Thursday, 22nd October is a non-uniform day! With opportunities for fundraising limited, Fyling Hall’s Sixth Form propose a non-uniform day to raise much needed funds.

This follows a very informative assembly supported by Anthony Nolan. Their education programme, the Hero Project, is aimed at teaching 16–18-year-olds about the importance of donating stem cells, blood and organs. The importance of the Hero Project and others like it has never been so apparent than it is to our community now.  Our Sixth Form are determined to help in any way they can.

The minimum contribution is £2 for non-uniform and £1 if you come in Halloween costume.  If you would like to give more, that would be great! There will of course, be prizes for the best costumes and with so few opportunities to get dressed up these days we would encourage you to come up with some really imaginative ideas. The money raised will go towards funding, for example, swab kits for young people who want to join the register of potential stem cell donors. If you would like to register directly with Anthony Nolan, we have a dedicated Fyling Hall page.

The Sixth Form are also organising a quiz for all students to take place during the last lesson on Thursday. This is a really worthwhile charity that benefits students in our own community. We are sure we can rely on your generous support. Please take the time to get out your Halloween costume!
