With the latest cake bake sale pending, it was spatulas and mixing bowls at the ready for our boarding staff and pupils as they prepared their contributions for the charity fundraiser the following day. An eclectic array of cakes and cupcakes were prepared and decorated by staff and students alike. An ambitious ‘tiger cake’ symbolic of the Lunar New Year, the year of the tiger, was the centrepiece of the afternoon. If the mess was anything to go by, a very enjoyable and successful afternoon was had by all participants.

Come Monday, our boarding contribution was more than matched by the overwhelming generosity of our baking parents and staff. In fact, donations were so bountiful that our sale extended to a three day sale. Organiser and Head Girl, Liv commented “I cannot thank parents, staff and students enough for their kind contributions. The latest cake bake sale has gone beyond our expectations. We expect to raise over £400 which will really raise the amount we have raised for our designated causes. Thank you to all involved!
