Inspired by the BBC 2 500 Words Story Competition, we will be having a short story competition of our own at Fyling Hall School.

Use your imagination! A maximum word limit of 500 words only

Who?

All Y7 and Y8

When?

After an introductory lesson and assembly about the competition, you will be given 3 of your English preps to work on a draft between 11th Feb and 6th March.

On Thursday 7th March you will take part in a Fyling Hall story writing afternoon where you will be typing up your masterpieces in the ICT room with some teacher support.

Judges including Mr Allen, Mrs Jackson, Mr Instone and Miss Anders will choose their top 3 stories.

Winners will each receive a £20 Amazon voucher.

All stories will also be entered into the BBC2 500 words story.
