As the saying goes “records are meant to be broken”. This week saw quite an outstanding achievement from several of the pupils, as four longstanding athletics records were broken.
In year 7 both the boys and girls 300 metre record was broken.
Rueben Mason ran 54.90 breaking a 20 year old record and Phoebe Russell ran 56.69 breaking an 11 year old record.
Two standout performances came from Bryan Tan who also broke the 20 year old, year 8, 300 metre record by six seconds running in a time of 49.07.
Isabella Clements broke the 1500 metres, 30 year old record by 12 seconds finishing in a time of 5 minutes 58 seconds.
