Form 2 in the Junior School had a super trip last week to a reconstructed Viking Village, where they dressed up and lived the life of Dark Age settlers for the day.
They had an informative introduction from a costumed Viking, then took ownership of their Viking houses, where they undertook household chores and also went out to work making authentic artefacts in various workshops.
The children quickly adapted to life without electricity or TV, and at the end of the day some were sad to leave their simple life behind! Many thanks to Mr Squirrell for driving and supporting the children with craft activities, also to Matron Stamp and Mrs Richardson for their help in the workshop tasks.
