Form 2 in the Junior School had a lovely afternoon on Fylingdales Moor with Tanya Eyre from the Hawk and Owl Trust. The children were taught how to scoop creatures from the pond and place them in study containers. They then identified them using flow charts and spent some time sketching and discussing attributes. After that Tanya took the pupils for a short walk across the moors to notice features and to observe wildlife, including plants, birds and lizards. Next time we hope to spot adders…
Many thanks to Tanya for her expert tuition. Thanks also to Matron Stamp for accompanying us and Mrs Spagnuolo for driving the minibus.
