In honour of World Photography Day, we take a look at Fyling Hall’s photography students past, present and future.

Photography student of the past – Maria Marchke

To sum up my time at Fyling Hall art studio I can confidently say that if it wasn’t for them supporting and helping me to put my ideas into action, I would not be studying Photography at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp now.

Maria left us a year ago and focused her creativity on Photography. Her work documents her family, life and University activities. You can catch up with her work on Instagram @mariatookaphoto

Photography student of the present – Connie Bradwell-Moore

Current Photography student Connie has just become our newest Art Leader. Connie is a natural photographer, and we can’t wait to see what she can bring to our art team. She is currently awaiting her GCSE results. We will be profiling her work later in the year.

Photography student of the future – Ebony Brown

I like art because it expresses my thoughts and feelings. It also makes me feel calm. When I am stressed and overwhelmed I love to draw and take photos. I am very interested in many different forms of art.
Creativity is essential to wellbeing and all types of art and skills are really important. Everyone should have a chance to shine and have a voice ( an artistic voice).

A Year 7 student, Ebony has been awarded the title as our first Art Ambassador to join the Art Leaders team. She has a natural talent for photography and is very passionate about her work.

You can see why we are so very proud of our photography students past, present and future!
