Every year, Fyling Hall counts a few students from Germany amongst our numbers – some just stay for a term, some for several years. So, to learn a bit more about them and their culture – and also to make them feel at home! – this year we are going to celebrate “Oktoberfest” – a day packed with all things German.

Our Oktoberfest celebration will culminate in an evening do in the Barn, where German food, music can be sampled, we will hear some (short!) presentations about various topics, and a quiz will offer the opportunity to win some German sweets. When is this all happening? On Thursday, 3rd October, 6:30 to 8 pm, in the barn. But Achtung: Since places are limited, prior booking (with Mrs Blackie) is necessary!
