The opportunity to enjoy a live performance of a symphony orchestra is a privilege.  Luckily for us the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra is on our doorstep, and even better, students have free entry to all the concerts.  Therefore, we are proud to facilitate attendance for pupils.

In their last concert the orchestra performed works on the GSCE and A-level music curriculum syllabus.  It was a wonderful opportunity for music student to hear works in a live performance.  What a special treat after the performance to meet Shaun Matthew, the orchestra’s inspirational conductor!

The next performance will take place on Saturday, 11th of May 2019.  Again, conducted by Shaun Matthew, the orchestra will be joined by guest artist, Lara James on the saxophone. They will perform pieces by Tchaikovsky, Martin Romberg and Ravel.  It should be a fantastic evening in Scarborough.

To secure your place, please contact Miss Johnson by the end of the day on Thursday, 2nd May. As the last performance was so popular, we may even need both minibuses!
