Fyling Hall School is organising a Community Ceilidh on Friday 5th June in Robin Hood’s Bay Village Hall. Live music will be provided by a band made up of students and friends of the school, who have been rehearsing hard for their first public performance. Alongside the usual folk instruments, the line-up also includes saxophones, clarinets, cellos, French horn and trumpet, as well as support from talented local musicians. Our experienced caller, Nigel Staton, who also calls for the Widdershins Ceilidh Band, is looking forward to a lively night of jigs, reels and polkas. Do join us for this one-off event, which begins at 7.30 pm.
Tickets can be reserved at the school office – Adults £5, Children (under 13) £3 – Proceeds to a charity chosen by Y10. Refreshments available.
