Our very own Physics teacher, Mr Instone, will present a one-man-show in character as Michael Faraday, telling his story in the style of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, which Faraday set up, inviting the audience to take part in a number of groundbreaking experiments that helped make our modern world. You have two opportunities to take part in Electrifying!, an interactive presentation of Michael Faraday’s Discovery of Electromagnetism – the afternoon of Saturday, 4th December and the morning of Sunday, 5th December.
Both form part of the Robin Hood’s Bay Victorian Weekend, an event Fyling Hall School is very proud in which to participate again. As in previous years, our Juniors will join the Lantern Parade, singing carols with the choir and walking down to the Dock to kick off the event. It will be an exciting weekend, and a lovely way to spend our boarders’ last weekend before they travel home for the holidays. They certainly cannot wait to part in Mr Instone’s telling of Michael Faraday’s story in the style of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
