In Art, it’s personal. As part of the A-level Art, Photography or Textiles courses available at Fyling Hall School each student is expected to complete a Personal Study project and essay for their coursework. Our Year 13 students are well and truly into their project and are facing their crucial essay writing during our online lessons. The Year 12 students have chosen their project topics and are getting to grips with what this means to them, again, during tough times and online learning.

“We have every faith in our students. They are hardworking, conscientious and talented. That said, we are very aware of the challenges ahead for our students and want to give them as much guidance as possible during these testing times for us all,” commented Miss Mansfield, Head of Art.

The Art Department have provided a clear and cohesive outline to give the best guide to their students. This guide gives a detailed breakdown of a writing framework which students of all abilities can access. This alongside one-to-one online meetings with each student as well as group sessions will give our students the best opportunity during these trying times. In Art, it really is personal.
