Last Saturday, a group of pupils went to Newcastle on a day out: a cultural experience that combined a visit to the Hancock Museum with a couple of hours shopping in Elden Square.

We visited the museum first, which houses a fascinating array of exhibits – ranging from the prehistoric to the artefacts of Ancient Egypt. Several of the items were interactive: some of the students even had their names added to a virtual copy of Hadrian’s Wall!

After two hours in the museum, we headed to Eldon Square shopping centre. Needless to say this was popular with the older students! Everyone enjoyed themselves and managed to shop till they dropped at quarter to five.

Thank you to Mr Edge for organising the trip.
