On a cold, crisp winter’s evening, under the light of a waning gibbous moon, an intrepid group of runners set off on the inaugural Fyling Hall Night Run.
Leaving from Ravenscar, with an air of trepidation, they set off for their 5km run to Boggle Hole, along the old railway line.
Guided only by the light of headtorches, and the moon’s reflection from the snowy, slippery surface beneath their feet, they ran with enthusiasm and marvelled at the view over the sea.
The group all reached their destination safely, and on return to school, recalled their adventure over a piping hot mug of chocolate.
Hopefully this will be the first of many more night runs.
