Greetings from the Friends of Fyling Hall PTA,

We hope you have had a lovely summer and a first week back at school.

Last year was phenomenal for fundraising and we hope this will continue into the next academic year. A big thank you to everyone that helped and contributed. You are amazing!!

For those of you that are new to the school we are a friendly bunch of parents and teachers that fundraise and create events to enrich our children’s time at Fyling Hall School.

We will be holding our first PTA meeting on Thursday 14th September 7pm in the School library please come along it’s a great opportunity to get involved with school life and meet other parents and most of all have some fun. You don’t need to give up a huge amount of time to be involved in the PTA, whatever works for you is just fine. If you would like to join online from another country please let us know. 

Have A Say On 2023-24 Fundraising

We are looking at where the funds raised will go and have already had some exciting requests from the music department, horse riding stables and forest school. We would love everyone’s input on what and how we should support. All suggestions are very welcome! You can come along to the meeting to discuss ideas or send us an email with your thoughts.

To give you an idea here are some of things we supported last year:

A large contribution to a new kiln for the art department
A printing table
A potters wheel
Playground blocks
Whittling equipment for forest school and even dance lessons with Chris Colebrook

We know the children have loved all of this.

The PTA also like to provide smaller gestures that are fun and the children love – like free ice lollies on sports day, cakes for coronation parties, halloween goodie etc. It is the little things that put a smile on the children’s face that makes us happy.

Coffee Morning

On Monday 25th we will be holding a coffee morning to welcome new parents alongside a bake sale which will go into the break for the children and teachers.

We are looking for volunteers so please let us know if you are able to spare a little timeto help, and of course as always we welcome your lovely baking or cake contributions.
