The BBC news has reported on the introduction of the government’s school food plan today. It is a set of guidelines designed to promote healthy eating and will be mandatory for all local authority schools, new free schools and schools that convert to academy status from January 2015. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-27869411
Fyling Hall is very proud to confirm that every one of the government’s recommendations are already in place at our school, and they have been for some time. In fact, our desire to provide the right diet for our children goes much further than these recently announced guidelines.
Pauline Gibson, Fyling Hall’s Head Cook, is clear in her kitchen’s ethos: that at the heart of the hot and freshly prepared food delivered twice daily to our students, is nutrition as well as taste.
