Fyling Hall GCSE Results 2026
Pupils at Fyling Hall School are celebrating a strong set of GCSE results, with the school exceeding national averages across every key grade measure.
One third of all GCSE grades awarded were at 7–9. At 33.5%, this was well above the national figure of 23.1%. At the very highest level, 6% of grades were awarded at grade 9, compared with 5.2% nationally.
The results were also strong across the wider grade range. Seventy-two per cent of grades were at 5 or above, against a national figure of 55.5%, while 84.5% were at grade 4 or above, compared with 70.7% nationally.
Science was another area of strength, with 28% of science grades awarded at 7–9, compared with approximately 21.6% nationally.
Of course, results day is about much more than percentages. Fyling Hall’s year groups are small, so staff know the work, progress and perseverance behind every result. It was a day to celebrate individual achievements and to support each pupil as they considered what comes next.
As a small, non-selective school, Fyling Hall places great importance on helping pupils make progress from their own starting points. These results reflect the hard work of the pupils and the encouragement of the teachers and families who have supported them along the way.
We are very proud of this year group and wish every pupil well as they move on to Sixth Form and the next stage of their education.

“What makes results day special in a school of our size is that we know the story behind every grade. There are some exceptional results, but there are also pupils who have worked incredibly hard to achieve a grade that matters enormously to them. Both deserve recognition.
“We are delighted to see Fyling Hall’s results above the national figures at every key grade boundary. Our pupils have worked hard for these qualifications, supported by staff who know them well, and we are very proud of what they have achieved.
“We wish them every success as they move into Sixth Form, college and the next stage of their lives.”
