On the last evening of this half term, Year 13 and Year 7 held a Halloween themed night as part of their charity fund raising. The Year 13s did a great job of organising an evening of fun, games and plenty of frights.

The students were put into teams and given four challenges: ‘Halloween Limbo’, ‘Apple on a String’ (no hands!),’ Guess What’s in the Box’ (by touch alone) and the toilet roll ‘Make a Mummy’ challenge. They then had the pleasure of bobbing for marshmallows  in the flour (and whatever else may have been lurking at the bottom of the bowl!), before enjoying a hot dog, cake and some Halloween Punch.

There was then ‘The Walk of Fear’ around the very dark grounds of the school. As the teams were lead around the grounds, there were hidden ‘scarers’ amongst the undergrowth and in the woods, ready to jump out when least expected. On the route, the teams were also told a spooky tale around the camp fire at the Forest School.

The evening was great fun and spectacularly run by the sixth form. Many thanks to Miss Walker and Ms Mitchell for helping to organise the evening. £154 was raised and will be donated to the Finlay Cooper Charity Fund.
