Inspired by our history lessons this term, pupils in Form 2 and 3 have been searching their attics for historical relics from the Second World War. Mabel brought her Great Grandad’s medals, Anya brought in a police helmet and a very rare German badge and Bella found an ancient teddy, which she believes is 100 years old! Tomas and Toby also brought a teddy which had belonged to an evacuee in the 1940s. Eve provided genuine wartime gas masks for our display. All these artefacts have fascinating stories to tell, and help to bring history alive for the children. Many thanks to parents who have helped with our World War II project.
