The first of this year’s house matches got underway on 2nd March, with the senior boys playing their annual football match. Football is often filled with clichés but this really was a game of two halves! The first half saw the Reds playing with a strong wind and they quickly raced into the lead. Blues had some good possession around the penalty area but they could not break down the Reds’ defence. With the Reds counter attacking effectively, the half time score was 5-0. Half time brought about a change of tactics and also plenty of snow, as the Blues pressed for an early goal, which they were finally rewarded with after some good interplay. Reds faced some constant pressure, leading to a nervy finish which resulted in them hanging on for a 5-4 victory.
