Miss Johnson takes a moment to look back at last term’s Drama lessons …
The Year 8s were fabulous last term, creating their own comedic Drama pieces based on Henry the 8th and the dissolution of the monasteries. They wrote their own monologues and devised their own scenes, that Mrs Jeeves and I turned into a scripted play. This fantastic piece was performed to the Year 5s and 6s in the Junior School to try and teach them a bit about the dissolution of the monasteries, but also to give them the enjoyment of watching a comedy driven Drama piece. Well done Year 8s!
Last term saw the Year 9s devised their own Drama piece based on cyberbullying and the consequences that may happen. In case you missed it, read Dr Liddle’s review on https://www.fylinghall.org/shocking-teenage-drama/ …bravo Y9s!
