A team of five Year 11 and Year 13 students took part in the English School’s Fell Running Championships at Mytholmroyd, Halifax last week.
Although Jack, Arthur, Ollie, Izzy and Harrison said that they found the course extremely challenging, they all enjoyed the experience and it had given them more confidence for next year’s event. Well done everyone.
Fell running is a challenging activity, and we are always incredibly impressed with any student who pushes themselves to accept the challenge of running alongside Mr Edge every Monday after school. However, it is also an activity that we believe helps our pupils to develop both physical and mental stamina. Pupils set themselves, and then achieve, challenging goals and this has a positive impact on their character development and confidence.
Thank you to Mr Edge for organising and transporting the pupils to the event.
