Weekly / After School Clubs

At Fyling Hall, we provide a diverse extra-curricular programme, which provides opportunities for new experiences and keeps our students busy. There is a late bus to both Scarborough and Whitby to enable participation in our weekly clubs / after school programme. Sport, music, drama and The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme are at the core of our extra-curricular programme but additional academic subjects and specialist clubs such as climbing, board games, craft club, karate to mention a few ensure that there is something for everyone.

“What struck me first about boarding at Fyling Hall is that there isn’t time to even think about the word ‘boring’.”

Breakfast and Homework Club

Home life can be busy and we can help parents of day students with this. You can arrange to drop your child off early if you need to get to work. They can arrive at 7:45am and will be looked after, and the boarding pupils for breakfast. Rather than worry about homework when your child gets home, they can opt to stay for dinner and attend our prep session (homework) which is supervised by a teacher. The teacher is there to offer assistance. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this.

“I just wanted to say thank you ever so much with regards to the after school clubs, the variety is fantastic, although too fantastic as (my child) wanted to do football, board games (he loves chess!), History (again he really loves history) the choir and Technology! A tough decision . . .”
