Once a week, either on Wednesdays or Tuesdays, eleven talented students take part in Orchestra Club (run by the inspiring Bob Butterfield and Miss Johnson). Each week they step into the barn with their instruments to do their bit in creating musical magic.

Lately we have enjoyed playing and learning “Ghost Busters”, a piece that always lifts our spirits and gets us warmed up for the rest of the session. Next there is the jazzy “Subway” with many solos including the saxophone and the oboes. Noel and I carry the important job of the bass and create a good beat for the soloist to play over.

Rehearsal with the Choir

Lately we have enjoyed playing Christmas songs such as “The First Noel” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in preparation for the festive Fyling Hall Christmas Markets. We are hoping to carry on the club into the new year, so if you know any budding musicians send them our way to give them a once in a lifetime experience in a brilliant environment. Eleven talented students would happily welcome more!
