On the weekend commencing Friday 15th April, a group of our Sixth-form headed off to Hadrian’s Wall to attempt a practice expedition for our Duke of Edinburg Gold Award. Anna-Luisa , Filip, Karolina and myself met up with another group from Durham school and we embarked on our adventure trekking up and down humongous hills and in Karolina’s case falling into rivers!
There was unexpected hail and rain which initially dampened our spirits but nevertheless we all woke the next morning undeterred. Fortunately we all returned in one piece and with valuable knowledge: bring an endless supply of dry socks!
