Recently, having practised dissection techniques on fruit in a previous lesson, the year 9 science group took a deep breath before dissecting large rats. All of the students were involved and nobody fainted although as the pictures show, some students enjoyed the experience more than others! The aim was to experience a new aspect of biology but also to help with the new topic about systems and organs within the body.
