Dinosaurs could be heard roaring in forest school as we welcomed visitors to our second Stay and Play session! Dinosaur masks, flying models and beautiful stencil pictures were created before we headed up to forest school in search of dinosaurs. Hidden in and around the trees were twenty dinosaurs waiting to be found along with a nest of dinosaur eggs! The children joined with the youngest members of my class and bravely hunted them all down and were refreshed with hot chocolate for their efforts. Then they explored the dinosaur nest and discovered what was inside the eggs, much to their delight!
It was a really wonderful afternoon and the perfect opportunity to show parents what we do and see how happy the pupils are. I was incredibly proud of my Year 2 pupils who were perfect ambassadors for the school. Our school motto, the days that make us happy make us wise was clearly demonstrated yesterday afternoon.
We will definitely be holding another couple of Stay and Play sessions next term. Please contact me or the school office for further details. We’d love to see you.
