Inspired by the impending arrival of the Tour de France in Yorkshire, Fyling Hall has launched its first cycling team. On Wednesday 14th May, four pupils competed in a cycling event organised by British Cycling in Whitby. The competition consisted of team pursuits, individual time trials and team relay events, with a total of 30 pupils taking part from various schools in the district. The Fyling Hall team of Aaron Preston, Meghan Chandler, Asa Jones and Julio Tojo qualified for the next round, which will be held in York on 3rd July. Meghan finished 3rd overall in the girls events and Aaron finished 1st in the boys events. Well done to the team for an excellent performance!
