Coordinating home and school learning is a priority at Fyling Hall. Last week, Year 6 pupils were our first pupils to return to the classroom however, some elected to continue to learn from home. How do we ensure that learning is harmonised across the two learning environments?
A good example of how home and school learning has been coordinated is Fyling Hall’s Year 6 recent blackout poetry. Taking part in the Blackout Poetry competition hosted by The Virtual School, students at school and home joined an English lesson. Pupils talked through this year’s theme of “Hope”, discussed ideas and looked at examples of blackout poems. They created their fantastic entries. Just take a look at the result of coordinating home and school learning!
