Fyling Hall Junior School finished off the term with a magical performance of ‘Christmas is Coming’ by Sheila Wilson. Every child in the school took part, each contributing to making the show a great success.
Highlights included a twinkling star dance, shepherds counting their sheep, angels singing angelic songs, wise men ordering their servants about, King Herod scaring the actors and audience alike, Mary and Joseph in harmony together, and ‘teachers’ orchestrating the whole performance in front of our very eyes.
Congratulations to all the children on their hard work, their acting and their singing, and thanks to our Gap student, Joe Lynch, who stood in as King Herod because Ben was ill. Thanks, also, to the teachers who put in so much hard work to make the play a success and make sure that the children enjoyed doing it, and to all the parents and friends who turned up to support and contributed so generously to the collection for the RNLI.
