Family life is so important to us here at Fyling Hall and what better way to spend this than celebrating birthdays together.

It was Timothy’s 15th birthday on Sunday ? We asked him a few days before what would he like to do to on his special day. He said he would like to have a camp fire ? in the woods ? as he thoroughly enjoyed it last time. So salads were made pulled pork was prepared with drinks and snacks and we headed up to our forest school. The fire was roaring Manfred boiled some milk over the fire and a few of us enjoyed a lovely hot milky coffee. Rosie had made Tim a birthday cake ? and we all sang happy birthday to him. He had an absolutely fabulous time and this will definitely be a fond memory he will treasure forever I am sure. Timothy went home on Monday, and it seems to be quiet without him. We can’t wait to see our Tim again.

Everyone is back to their online studying and they are all working super hard. I have been reading a lot, and I’m in the middle of drawing our iconic landscape that we have the privilege of waking up to every morning. I can’t believe how loud the birds are singing in the tree tops at the moment. It’s the most beautiful sound especially when the weather has also been so great! I will get a recording to share with you all. It makes you appreciate nature even more.

Drawing our iconic landscape, but it’s not finished yet!

I hope you are all keeping safe, and I will update you all again very soon. Hope you enjoyed seeing how we have been celebrating birthdays together and making the most of our time together.

Sending you all my love and big hugs ❤?? and I hope you enjoy our latest chapter of James and the Giant Peach.
