This week saw the first meeting for the cast for our school production of Annie. Pupils from years 3 to 13 are taking part in the production, many are new to the stage although some were part of our immensely successful production of Grease.

After a fantastic set of auditions for both music and drama, which saw Miss Rowland in tears and Mrs Wormald writing, “I thought I was IN Annie”, the cast list was announced on Friday. Students flocked to the stack yard to find out their roles and were all very pleased.

Leading the cast will be Lola Wilson, a Year 7 pupil, who wowed staff in her audition. She is joined by Year 10’s Conner Asprey as Oliver Warbucks, Reece Glossop Jones as Rooster Hannigan and Meghan Chandler as Lily St Regis. Stand out auditions were also delivered by Year 9 pupils Maeve Sutterby who will take the role of Grace Farrell and Amy El-Barghouty who will play Miss Hannigan, the evil head of the orphanage. Our youngest cast member is 7 year old Ewan Wormald who will be playing the lovable dog, Sandy.

Miss Rowland says: “The auditions were immensely successful and proved how talented Fyling Hall pupils are. I was so pleased to see so many new pupils auditioning and hope to see full audiences in February”

The show will be performed on February 10th and 11th 2015, book your tickets now!
