On Sunday 30th September Pupils from years 2-8 spent the morning on the River Esk with East Barnby Outdoor Education Centre. In windy conditions pupils learnt how to paddle in groups of three and master steering their canoe which proved to be quite difficult! During the morning they played a modified game of water polo, descended part of the weir at Ruswarp and paddled back to the awaiting minibuses for a well-earned cup of hot chocolate!
