A group of year 1o and 11 pupils sampled the comedic delights of “Bouncers” last Friday, a multi award winning play written by John Godber.
Sitting in the front row of the Stephen Jospeh “Round” Theatre, the pupils couldn’t help but be immediately submerged in the play’s witty and sometimes poignant comedy. Annabelle McAdam and Anna Ayckbourn were even given the task of holding some of the characters’ sparkly handbags between the scenes where the four bouncers metamorphosised from four beefy bouncers into four young girls on a night out.
All of the pupils had a wonderful time – watching Connor, Izzy and Belle laughing until their sides hurt was almost as much fun as watching the play itself.
