The Junior pupils have been helping Mr Stephenson and Adam in planting a bee and butterfly garden in the Junior grounds. The children planted a wide range of pollen-rich plants, including lavender, thyme, hebes and buddleia. Mr Stephenson explained the need for more areas in the school grounds which will encourage butterflies and bees, to help to counteract habitat loss. Much preparatory work was done by the gardeners so that the children could work the soil more easily. We are very grateful to them for giving their time so generously.
