With this year’s UCAS submission date now passed, Fyling Hall’s Year 13s have taken another step in preparing for university life. With ten successfully completed applications, students have applied for a great variety of courses form Business in Brighton to Astrophysics in St Andrews to Interior Design Northumbria and Material Science in Swansea. Already several students have received offers from all over the country for courses starting in September.

The Year 13 are now using some of their tutor time to share their experience and offer helpful hints for applying to university with Year 12 students. It is not too early to start looking at life beyond Fyling Hall and online work experience opportunities. Virtual taster days are already available for Year 12 to take advantage of.

The tutors and I have received many very positive comments this week about our Sixth Formers attitude and quality of work over the last few weeks. We are proud to support them in taking another step in preparing for university life. We are producing resilient, independent and resourceful learners who will be well prepared for university life or the world of work.
