With only 8 weeks to go until the return of the Rose Garden Festival (1st July 2023) we are excited to reveal the first of our three main bands performing!
Our theme this year is linked to Fyling Hall’s Centenary celebrations and therefore each band has a connection with Fyling Hall.
Our first band has our incredibly talented year 10 pupil Theo Flintoft on the drums. We are so excited to introduce Project 13 to the Rose Garden Festival. This wonderful 7-piece ska/punk/rock group will be performing versions of all your favourite songs, to get you up dancing and singing along. They play tunes from the likes of Madness, the Specials, Reel Big Fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less than Jake, Sublime, Wham, Eagle’s and many more.
Project 13
Project 13 say “Like a phoenix risen from the ashes of lockdown, we’ve built up a band of local musicians who have played in numerous bands and thrown in to the mix a couple of new members to the music scene. We decided to start a band that would be primarily fun that everyone could relate to. Playing well known tunes, but putting our twist on them, and some not so popular tunes that will interest the inquisitive musical ear.”
Project 13 comprises musicians of all ages and walks of life from student to retired. We can’t wait for their set at the Rose Garden Music Festival and look forward to welcoming them to the stage.
Check out their facebook page for more on the band.
