This week the school has been ringing out with music, as the stars of the school production of ‘Annie’ were able to share their hard work with their friends and family. The cast have been working hard on the show since September and performed Wednesday and Thursday this week to a packed audience.
The cast ranged from Ewan Wormald (year 3) who played Sandy the dog, to Joe Buchanan (year 13) who controlled the lighting desk. Special plaudits must go to Lola Wilson who has stunned audiences as Annie despite being new to the school in Year 7, and Amy El-Bargouhty, who played Miss Hannigan and stood out with a manic, excitable and incredibly watchable performance. However this has been a team effort from the start and the whole cast have been working hard to create an excellent show with lots of fun, excitement and the odd tear too.
We would like to thank all the parents, grandparents and friends who have donated their time, props, costumes, and for supporting pupils in their learning of lines and dance routines. Finally, a huge thank you to Miss Rowland for directing the performance and working so hard with all of the children.
