Rain, wind and midges on midges could not stop our pupils from performing in the final drama production of the year. Pupils from Years 7-11 performed ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in the school’s beautiful Rose Garden, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s publication. Each year group took a section of the story to perform and created their own piece using a variety of dramatic styles.
The performance was accompanied by music from our very own Zoot Party, the Senior Vocal Group and Ceilidh Band, who brought the whole cast together for a rousing dance to end.
Despite inclement conditions all pupils who took part performed fantastically with lots of energy and humour. The whole show was well received and it was great to see Year 7 pupils performing in school for the first time, alongside Year 11 pupils who have just finished their GCSEs.
Special thanks must go to all the parents and friends who endured the terrible midges to enjoy the performance.
The photos below are from the much sunnier rehearsals that took place only days before!
