We are delighted to announce that Aaron Preston (Year 10) was selected for the North of England team to compete at the British Cycling Inter Regional Road Cycling Championships 2014.

The event took place at the Redbridge Cycling Centre in Essex on Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September. This is a fantastic achievement, particularly as it is an under 16 event and he was the only 14 year old competing. His selection for such an important event is the result of Aaron’s talent, hard work and dedication.

Aaron had a very successful 3 days and the racing was hard and fast: he competed against the best fifty 16 year old male riders who represented all regions of the UK. The event consisted of street sprinting and road racing, both of which are designed to test a rider’s endurance, speed and skills.

This event has been of great benefit to Aaron on his Cycling Pathway and as a school we are very proud of his continued achievements.
