Last week, the A2 Geography group were in the woods learning about the ecosystem that exists around us. Mr Stephenson, the head gardener, is extremely knowledgeable about all of the different plant and animal species in the area and he was very happy to impart a small amount of this to the girls. They asked about the dominant species in the area and learned how it has changed over time due to the introduction of non-native species. The area is managed and as such some areas have been cleared to allow certain plants a better chance of survival. The girls learned a lot and we all send a huge thank you to Mr Stephenson.
