In science this week, Fyling Hall’s Y5 and Y6 have embarked upon a study of light. In their first online science topic of the Summer Term, pupils will learn about how we see light, shadows, reflection and refraction.

This week they have learned how light travels. Using cuddly toys and string, children have created models. These models, created by Anya, Daisy and Penny, show us how rays of light travel from a light source and hit objects around us. The rays of light reflect, or bounce, off an object, and then travel into our eyes. This reflection of light allows us to see the object.
