Even though we are a small school we continue to have a big heart, often thinking of others who are less fortunate. With that in mind, we are running the Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal again next term. Many of you will already be aware of what this entails but for those of you who do not I will give a quick recap.

A small school with a big heart

Each tutor group will aim to fill a number of shoeboxes with gifts for a variety of people – babies, teenagers, adults, etc. Each shoebox will be for a specific age group and gender and is then geared towards what they would need/like. The boxes are ordered and are on their way (you do not need your own shoebox) and we aim to start filling them after the Easter holidays. I thought this would give everyone time to get some things together. Tutors will be discussing this with your child/ren.

Once filled, the boxes are collected by the Rotary Club and distributed to where they are most needed (I know many are going to Ukraine at the moment). Please note, these shoeboxes are a little smaller than the average shoebox and some larger items will not fit. Please check the measurements before buying anything, particularly colouring books as these are often too big (measurements are on one of the attached sheets).

A small school with a big heart

I hope you can support this worthy cause, as many of you have done in the past. Each box needs £2.00 for postage so if you would rather help in that way rather than with items, all is welcome. We have not been able to do this for the last two years so it would be nice to help others again. Thank you so much for all your continued support and kindness. If you have any questions please just get in touch (a.gilmour@fylinghall.org).
